Lars is our 12 year old neighbor. He has been playing clarinet for about 6 months. A conscientious student of my friend Stephanie. Wife Margaret thought it would be fun for me to write a piece for him, and Steph agreed. So I did.
I thought I’d make it about more than just teaching technique, including other areas of exploration: Form (it’s a sort of Minuet), sequence, relative keys, and of course an irregular meter.
